WHAT IS THE ASOPRS FOUNDATION?

The American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery Foundation was established in 1999 as the philanthropic arm of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). The American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery was founded in 1969 to establish a qualified body of surgeons with training and experience in this highly specialized field. The purpose of the Society is to advance training, research, and patient care in the fields of aesthetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, tear system, orbit, and face. The ASOPRS Foundation is dedicated to ongoing education, humanitarian projects, and research in the field of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, locally, nationally, and internationally in harmony with the ASOPRS mission.

Thank you for Your Support!

The ASOPRS Foundation is pleased to report that we participate each year in #GivingTuesday, a global day of unity and giving.  GivingTuesday for 2022 is November 29, 2022.   Won't you join us on this day?

The ASOPRS Foundation appreciates all donations.  Kindly donate to the ASOPRS Foundation on our website, www.asoprsfoundation.org, or give through our mobile platform by texting the message “EyeDonate” to 407-995-6283.  In total, for 2020, the ASOPRS Foundation received just under $100,000.00 in financial gifts.   The overwhelming spirit of our members is amazing, and given the pandemic year, we appreciate all of your generosity and kindness of spirit.  Let's make 2022 even better.

The 20th Anniversary Year of the ASOPRS Foundation.

You have heard quite a lot about our celebratory activities throughout this year.  It isn't over yet!

While we had hoped to have a major presence at both the Spring and Fall Meetings for 2021, COVID-19 has had an impact on our celebrations.

We do honor our founders, acknowledge our high donors, and thank all of our members for your support and loyalty and had hoped to do so

at an appreciation reception at the Fall Meeting.  This did not occur in the Fall of 2021, so we will extend our anniversary celebration in 2022.

Thank you for being a part of the ASOPRS Foundation Team — together, we can make a difference!

Welcome our Newest ASOPRS Members!

Congratulations to the 2023 new members who were inducted at the ASOPRS Spring Meeting in Quebec City.

The ASOPRS Foundation was pleased to provide educational grants to these individuals to offset their registration fees for the Spring Meeting. We look forward to working with them throughout their membership with ASOPRS. Thanks to all the supporters of the ASOPRS Foundation for helping us provide these educational grants.

TRAVEL GRANTS!

The ASOPRS Foundation extends a one-time travel grant to all ASOPRS Fellows.  Fellows can use the grant to attend a NON-ASOPRS meeting, skills training, or workshop. (i.e., the funds cannot be used to pay for any travel to or registration for the Fall Symposium or other ASOPRS-provided seminar, webinar, or meeting).  To apply for the grant, the fellow must request the funds before attending the event, submit proof of attendance, and complete the Fellow Travel Grant Request/Reimbursement form.
